We braved the chilly, windy, rain for a walk around some of Edinburgh’s beautiful medieval and neo-classical streets on different levels – like a sort of old Hong Kong of the North – with their little closes and lanes, popping into WA Armstrong’s Vintage Emporium, where Ms Eliza is currently working. What a place! Breathtaking and overwhelming, the array of vintage fashion and authentic dress uniform. Many items are not for sale, and the place also serves as a museum of authentic fashion and costume. I loved these tulle gowns hanging as a bouquet of peonies from the ceiling.
