I think my mental link here is something something about music being piped into my ears. I did say it was tenuous and, since no-one at all has commented on yesterday’s controversialist post, I don’t suppose you’ll really care. I’ve had a busy day (24.5K steps) and my legs are falling off so this will have to do.

So I mentioned previously about how I’d stepped up my fitness last year. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have been anywhere near as successful at it without having music to listen to and spur me on. I do find running quite dull at times but music keeps me going and fellow gym goers have remarked about me carrying on dancing after the treadmill has stopped. In fact I carry on listening to it as I hot the supermarket afterwards. Imagine, if you will, the famous scene at the Job Centre in The Full Monty but with me, sweaty in my exercise kit.

I originally made the playlist that I hope you can see below for my leaving party. No-one danced. But I discovered that these same songs were an excellent accompaniment to exercise so I generally fire this up every time I run or row. If I need extra nurturing that day, I find that Jools Holland and Ruby Turner provide it. I hope this works and you can see the playlist.
