I’ve been tweeting this apple cake from my greengrocers @AbelandCole since I first made it a couple of weeks ago. It’s delicious warm with clotted cream as a pudding or even for breakfast.

On one day last week, no fewer than three of my Twitter friends made it and tweeted it. So here is mine from the following day. Such is the love of this cake in our house, it’s fast becoming a staple item. I’d like to try it with rhubarb and ginger too.
