Meet Eddie Mair. He’s an eight month old Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier pup who ran his third parkrun today with his owner Mary. His times are getting faster, though I saw him stop for three poos during today’s run.

Eddie Mair is named after Eddie Mair, radio and TV presenter and sharp, dry-witted and sensitive interviewer who, on his @BBCPM show, refuses to be cowed by politicians’ bullishit yet can manage to empathise with and draw out universal truths from ordinary people. I think he’s marvellous too, Mary.
