…And when the Princess returned home from her years of tortuous trials; of slaying dragons and rescuing little old ladies; of promoting diplomatic connections and of cleansing herself of worldly influences, lo, she arrived to her enchanted castle where all had been renovated and restored to its utmost glory. And she was well pleased.
Away from fairy tales, not much has happened on the kitchen front since I left on Sunday. Yet another completion date has come and gone and we’re still not complete. I’m hoping the damn thing is finished before I go to India again in November. Something to aim for.
How disappointing nothing more has happened on the kitchen front. Hopefully all will be finished soon. Any more luck ridding the hob of its scratch?
Welcome home. My sight isn’t good enough to do so, but if you are looking for something to aim for, centre mass is always the best advice. Start with the kitchen fitter, then work your way down the list 😉
Welcome home. Now you’re back you can breathe down everyone’s necks to get the kitchen done. x
Apparently the builder hasn’t heard from Magicman (who would have ground the scratch out) so I think we’re now looking to have Miele come out and replace the glass of the hob.
Very little has happened on the pantry front, which is disappointing too: I’d always said I wanted glass sliding doors but of course why would anyone listen to the client? Ugh
It’s funny isn’t it, what you come back to? For me, there was a basket of damp washing that had been forgotten and a reseal bag of coffee beans that hadn’t been resealed and so went all over the floor. Also the spilt sugar that had just been left. And that was just this morning. Welcome home, Gita. *eyeroll* listen to the client? Ugh
I feel for you. Sometimes I don’t want to go away because of the mess I know I’ll return to, and that’s without having the builders in.
