I haven’t got much to say tonight.

Well, that’s not actually true, but you don’t need me to tell you this.

I have a lot to say about the despicable attack on an 8 month pregnant young woman in Peckham on Monday, which killed her unborn child and has left her critically ill in hospital. I have a lot to say about why it took 70 minutes for the ambulance to come.

I have a bit to say about the potential Greek debt default and how it might have a direct impact on me.

I have huge amounts to say about the 21 year old white man who sat in an historic church in Charleston, South Carolina, and heard the teachings of the Bible before taking a gun that he’d received for this birthday and shooting dead 9 black fellow worshippers. And yet people still defend their right to carry guns, for goodness’ sake.

I have a lot to say about how the same nation perpetuates the Death Penalty, which clearly isn’t a deterrent to committing murder.

It’s all so depressing and wearing. And I’ve had a long day, which has been a fast day too so I’m not at my most articulate tonight.

Instead, then, I’ll keep all that to myself tonight and be content to wish you all a goodnight and sweet dreams.
