You know what? If you think someone is good at something, just tell them. They might not know how lovely their voice is or how good they are at acting. They might not realise how wonderful their writing or how articulate their speaking.
They might be unaware that they have gorgeous eyes or the sexiest mouth you ever saw. They might not know that their wonderfully expressive face lights up every minute you spend in their company.
Instead, required always to hide their light under self-effacing self-flagellation, they might have convinced themselves that they are ugly, worthless, stupid, pointless. That no-one will really ever want them for themselves. That they can contribute nothing new. They might spend their life in pupating in self-doubt.
Do them a favour: tell them so that they can emerge. Tell them before it’s too late.
