I received the recipe for this tasty and easy apple cake in my weekly Abel and Cole box. It’s so simple to make and everyone likes it. It’s great eaten warm with clotted cream as a pudding or even for breakfast and there always seems to be one just finished in our house. I’m sure it would work just as well with rhubarb and ginger.
Within a week of tweeting about it, there was a day when about three of my Twitter friends all seemed to have made it so this is my version made the following day and topped with demerara sugar and cinnamon.
