I developed a serious L’Occitane habit when I lived in France, and I’ve never quite managed to break this addiction. Not that I’d want to. This is my morning treat and the various shower gels and matching body lotions have set me up for the day for years now.

L’Occitane introduces new fragrances all the time, and I really like most of them, but I always come back to this one. The four queens of the Provencale legend, apparently, are the four daughters of the Count of Forqualquier, each of whom married a king, but that doesn’t bother me. I just love the way that the roses scent my bathrobe and towels and that the sweet aroma lingers around my bedroom, assailing my senses every time I come upstairs. I do hope that L’Occitane never discontinues it.
